About Barbara Bowers
More than 30 years ago, Key West’s historic architecture and hometown feel won my heart. In 1993 I bought a small 1850s-apartment compound and renovated it in 2007. That’s when preservation won the day: The property won a certificate for excellence in preservation. I was appointed to Key West’s Historic Architectural Review Commission, and served five years; I started writing a weekly newspaper column about houses and architecture that ran for 12 years. In 2009, I began hosting the Keys Real Estate Show, a hour-long radio talk show that is now a podcast.
As a realtor, writer and talk-show host, I embrace all facets of real estate, but my ultimate goal is to help you find your perfect home and get you excited about living in this tropical wonderland.
